About the Master Your Mindset program

This program is 8 weeks of mental training. It’s no different than physical training. You work out your body at least 5-6 days a week, which creates muscle memory. Your brain is very much like a muscle. So to create change you need mental practice, repetition and a coach. The way you think and how you respond is a habit. It takes a minimum of 60 days to change habits.

The Details

This 8 week training program is on Monday evenings via zoom with each session being about 30 minutes long.

All trainings are recorded and available to the athlete and parent via the You Are Strong App.

Daily messages/videos designed to help you stay focused.

Includes 4 one-on-one coaching sessions with the athlete and Angie or 3 group coaching sessions, depending on the program you choose.

Connection to parent/guardian as needed.

When E has a healthy mindset he is normally an upbeat lighthearted young man.  After several years of feeling beaten down by his coach, his team or perhaps it was just being a young adult in sports, we noticed he was becoming increasingly frustrated, withdrawn, and quickly upset which could easily accelerate to the point of anger over things sports (hockey) related as well as in his personal life.  

After a few sessions with Angie and listening to the zoom training calls, E seems to be able to compartmentalize his feelings and reactions. He has learned that he can only control what he does. When his coach yells at him, he listens but doesn’t internalize what is being said. He is overall more positive about his sport and his team.  Thank you Angie for helping him find the strength to be happy again. We can see that he is STRONG again.

As parents, we have always focused on our daughter’s physical skills when it comes to sports. But we have never thought about the development of their mindset and mental acuity until we found Angie. We have found building the muscle of the mind may be the most important. 

With this program, they have learned to be coachable as well as learned to adapt to adverse situations in which they previously struggled. To see how mentally strong our girls have become has made all the difference, because they have learned what you think is what you become. 

This program has helped both of our daughters in sports and also taught them many valuable life skills in regards to their education, relating to coaches, friends and family, and most importantly how to truly believe in themselves to be able to succeed at the next level.
